Michael Stamm to Teach Organizational Leadership: Developing and Managing an Economic Development Office Class
Ithaca, NY, Michael Stamm will teach “Organizational Leadership: Developing and Managing an Economic Development Office” as part of New York State Economic Development Council’s Basic Economic Development Course. The International Economic Development Council certifies this rigorous set of courses. The courses take place at SUNY Albany from June 22-25.
Michael has been President of TCAD since September 1985. Prior to that, he was with the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency for three years. During his tenure with TCAD the organization has grown in both size and responsibility. It manages a very active and progressive Industrial Development Agency and has launched such important initiatives as the County’s Workforce Investment Board, Airport Service Task Force and Cayuga Venture Fund.
Michael earned a BA in English Literature from Syracuse University and an MA in Economics from the University of Buffalo. Most of his college education was accomplished on a part time basis while either working or on active military duty in the US Air Force.
Michael is a member of many organizations, including: Tompkins County Workforce Investment Board, New York State Economic Development Council, Cornell Center for Technology, Enterprise & Commercialization, Council of Development Finance Agencies, and International Economic Development Council
